Setapp
Setapp
Setapp is a subscription service that gives you access to a large collection of apps for Mac and iOS.
If you use Windows or Linux, you can skip this guide. Setapp is primarily built around Apple devices.
Setapp can be useful for getting developer utilities, design-matching tools, screenshot and recording apps, database clients, and productivity tools without buying each one separately.
Eligible students and educators can apply using an institution-issued email address. High school, college, university, and distance-learning students may qualify depending on their institution and Setapp’s current eligibility requirements.
How to Apply
Apply through the Setapp Education Discount page using your educational email address.
Many academic domains are recognized automatically. If your institution’s domain is not recognized, follow Setapp’s instructions to request support.
The education offer applies to an annual Setapp membership, so check the current plan and renewal terms before subscribing.
Things to Know
App Availability Can Change
Apps can be added to or removed from the Setapp collection over time.
If you’re subscribing mainly for one particular app, check that it is still included before paying.
Some Apps Have Platform-Specific Versions
Not every app is available on both Mac and iOS, and features can differ between platforms.
Check the individual app page if you need a specific version or feature.
Check Annual Billing
The education offer uses an annual subscription. After any trial or introductory period, you may be charged for the full annual term at once.
Check the current billing and cancellation terms before subscribing.
Check Before Changing Your Email
If your education discount was verified through your institution-issued email address, contact Setapp support before changing the email on your account if you want to make sure your discount will not be affected.
