Other Student Offers Directly from the Companies

Not every student offer comes through a large program or discount platform. Outside the other services covered in this series, some software companies provide their own education plans, student discounts, free licenses, or institution-based access.

The offers below vary widely. Some are available directly to individual students, while others require verification through your school, an educator, or an institution. For web development students, tools such as Sketch, Framer, Miro, Replit, Tower, Obsidian, and Microsoft Azure are likely to be the most directly useful. Others, including Autodesk, Shapr3D, and Unity, are more relevant if your studies extend into CAD, 3D design, games, or other specialized fields.

How to Apply

Start from the company's official student or education page rather than searching for coupon codes on third-party websites.

Depending on the service, verification may use your institutional email address, a student ID, enrollment documents, or your school's existing education agreement. Some offers are available directly to students, while others must be provided through an eligible institution.

Eligibility, regional availability, included features, and renewal rules can change, so check the current terms before applying.

Things to Know

Check Who the Offer Is Actually For

"Education" does not always mean an individual student plan. Some programs are designed for schools, teachers, classrooms, or institutions rather than students applying independently.

Check Regional and Verification Requirements

Some companies support students globally, while others limit their offers to particular countries, institutions, or verification systems. Online and distance-learning students may also be treated differently depending on the program.

Use Official Offer Pages

Student discounts change frequently. Avoid unofficial coupon websites, shared promotional codes, and websites asking you to pay for access to an education offer. If a company does not document a student offer on its own website, do not assume a third-party code is legitimate.

What You Get

Design and Prototyping

Sketch

Sketch is a design and prototyping tool for creating interfaces, components, prototypes, and developer handoffs.

Student offer: Eligible students can apply for a free Sketch Education Workspace with access to the Mac app for their studies. Applications require academic verification.

Framer

Canva

Education offer: Canva Education is primarily designed for eligible K–12 teachers and students rather than being a general free university student plan. Higher-education access may instead depend on arrangements made by an institution.

If you are a university student, check the eligibility rules before assuming that your student status alone qualifies you for Canva Education.

Development and Cloud

Replit

Replit is a browser-based development platform for building, running, collaborating on, and deploying software projects.

Student offer: Replit may show a student discount during checkout for eligible accounts created with a student or academic email address. This offer is not always displayed on Replit's public pricing pages, and its availability, eligibility requirements, discount level, and terms may change, so check the price shown in your own account before subscribing.

Tower

Tower is a graphical Git client for macOS and Windows.

Student offer: Eligible college and university students can apply directly for free educational access. Bootcamp and CodeCamp students may need their instructor or institution to participate in Tower's education program.

Microsoft Azure for Students

Azure for Students gives eligible university students access to Microsoft's cloud platform without requiring a credit card.

Student offer: Eligible full-time university students can create a dedicated Azure for Students account with student cloud benefits and development resources. Student status must be maintained for renewal.

Obsidian

Obsidian is a Markdown-based notes and knowledge-management application that stores your notes locally.

Student offer: Students and faculty can apply for an education discount on Obsidian's optional Sync and Publish services. The core Obsidian application itself is already free for personal use.

Documents

Microsoft 365 Education

Microsoft 365 Education provides Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other productivity and collaboration tools for education.

Education offer: Students at eligible institutions may receive Microsoft 365 Education access through their school. This is primarily institution-based access rather than a universal individual student discount.

Check your university account before purchasing Microsoft 365 yourself, since your institution may already provide access.

Foxit

Foxit provides PDF reading, editing, conversion, annotation, and electronic-signature tools.

Student offer: Foxit offers education pricing for eligible students and educators on selected products. Availability, included products, and discount terms can vary, so check the current education offer before purchasing.

Student offer: Eligible students can apply for the free Unity Student plan after academic verification.

Student offers change frequently, so use this page as a directory rather than assuming that every benefit will remain unchanged. Open the official education page for the tool you need, confirm your eligibility, and compare the education offer with the company's normal free plan before applying.
