Contribution Terms
The license terms every contribution accepts: text under CC BY-SA 4.0, code under CC0, published irrevocably, and what that means for you.

frontendmentorsolutions.io grows through volunteer contributions: articles, comments, and interviews. This page explains the license terms that apply to every contribution. For how to contribute, see the Contribution Guide.
The license you accept
By submitting a contribution (an article, a comment, or interview answers), you irrevocably agree to publish it under the terms on the License and Attribution page:
- Text (articles, comments, interview answers): CC BY-SA 4.0, or any later version.
- Code blocks within articles: dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0.
What this means for you
- Copyright stays with you. You license your content to everyone; you don't transfer ownership. You are free to republish your own articles elsewhere afterwards, just link back to the original.
- The license is irrevocable. Once granted, it cannot be withdrawn, and it is not affected by the closure of your account or your departure from the platform. Separately, it is the site's policy to keep published contributions online; together, these are what make the content safe for others to build on.
- Your name is yours. You can have it removed. If you leave the platform, your articles and credit records remain published, but you can request the removal of your name (anonymization) at any time.
- You are responsible for what you submit. Contributions must be your own, or you must hold the rights to share them; the details are in the Terms of Use.
- Only your own code goes in code blocks. Code copied from a library, a framework, another site or another person cannot be dedicated to CC0 and must not be submitted as a code block. Refer to it by name and link instead.
- You accept the collective credit. Reusers may credit "frontendmentorsolutions.io contributors" as the author, as described on the License and Attribution page. Your name still appears on your own articles here.
- Your article may appear beside sponsor placements. The site is partly funded by labeled sponsorship and advertising. Sponsors have no say in which articles are published or in what they say, and your article is never itself presented as sponsored.
