Support the Site

How the site is funded (sponsorship, advertising and voluntary reader support), what sponsors do and do not get, and what your support pays for.

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Everything on frontendmentorsolutions.io is free to read: no paywalls, no third-party ad networks, nothing behind a login. The site is funded by directly sold sponsorship and advertising, and by voluntary reader support. This page explains how that works, what sponsorship does and does not buy, and what your support pays for.

How the site is funded

The model is deliberately simple. The site has two sources of income: sponsors and advertisers who buy clearly labeled placements on the site and in the newsletter, and readers who find the site useful and chip in. Neither buys any influence over the content.

  • No third-party ads. Sponsor placements are sold directly by us, hosted on our own servers and always labeled. There are no advertising networks, no ad-tracking scripts and no cross-site tracking. What a sponsor gets from us is aggregate figures (page views, the number of subscribers an issue went to), never personal data or email engagement records; the Privacy Policy has the details.
  • No sponsored articles. Sponsors have no say in what gets written, reviewed or published. Articles are never paid for, and nothing is recommended because a sponsor makes it.
  • No paywalls. Every article is free for everyone, and the open licenses make that effectively irreversible: everything published here is under CC BY-SA and CC0, which nobody, including us, can revoke.
  • No selling data. Your data is never sold or shared for marketing; see the Privacy Policy.

The site is run by The Residual Value LLC, a small independent company.

Sponsorship and advertising

If you would like to reach the site's readers, front-end developers working through Frontend Mentor challenges, sponsor placements are available on the site and in the newsletter. Placements are text and images only, served from our own servers and labeled as sponsored; no scripts, no pixels, no reader data. We accept sponsors whose products are relevant to the readers and decline anything misleading, and sponsorship never influences editorial decisions: there are no sponsored articles. Email hello@frontendmentorsolutions.io for the current options.

Support the site

Voluntary support payments are not open yet; the payment side is still being set up. When they open, you will be able to chip in with a one-time contribution of any amount or make it monthly, with payments processed by Stripe (your card details will go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers). Before that happens, this page will state the amounts and currency, how monthly support renews, how to cancel it and what a cancellation or an account deletion means for it. Contributions will go to The Residual Value LLC and will not be tax-deductible. Until then, the ways to help below cost nothing.

What your support pays for

Sponsorship and reader support together cover the site's running costs (hosting, the domain, email delivery) and the time it takes to write, review, and keep articles updated as living documents.

Just as important is what neither buys: supporting or sponsoring unlocks nothing, because nothing is locked. There are no supporter tiers with special access, no perks, and no members-only content. Everything published here is already free for everyone, and stays that way.

Other ways to help

Support doesn't have to mean money:

  • Share it. Send an article to someone it would help, or translate and republish it: the licenses welcome both.
  • Write for it. The site is built by its contributors; start with the Contribution Guide.
  • Fix it. Spotted a mistake, or something that could be clearer? Let us know.
  • Subscribe to the newsletter. It's free, and every subscriber is a signal that this work is useful. The form is in the footer of every page.
