Code of Conduct
What we expect from everyone on the platform: welcome beginners, critique code not people, and how to report behavior that crosses the line.
Last updated: August 11, 2026
frontendmentorsolutions.io is a learning community. People at every level of experience share solutions, review each other's work, and ask questions here, and how we treat each other decides whether that works. This page describes what we expect from everyone who participates: in comments, article reviews, interviews, and any other interaction on the platform.
The short version
Be kind, be honest, and remember a beginner is reading. Critique the work, not the person. If something goes wrong, use the report option on the comment or email hello@frontendmentorsolutions.io.
What we expect
- Welcome beginners. Questions that look basic are exactly what this site exists for. A patient answer, or a link to where it's already answered, beats sarcasm every time.
- Critique code, not people. "This selector could be simpler" is feedback; "you clearly don't understand CSS" is not. Explain the why, suggest an alternative, and accept that reasonable people can disagree about approaches.
- Take feedback gracefully. Reviews and comments on your work are suggestions to discuss, not verdicts to fight. Disagreeing with a point is fine. Dismissing the person is not.
- Credit honestly. Say where an approach came from when it isn't yours. Plagiarism, in articles, comments, or solutions, violates both this code and the Terms of Use.
What we don't accept
- Harassment, insults, or discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of experience level, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or age.
- Trolling, personal attacks, or deliberately derailing discussions.
- Publishing someone's private information (real name, address, contact details) without their explicit permission.
- Sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome personal attention.
- Spam, and self-promotion unrelated to the discussion at hand.
Where this applies
Everywhere on the platform (comments, article reviews, and interview exchanges) and in email with the team. It covers the content you publish here as well as how you treat other people.
Reporting
If you see or experience behavior that violates this code, report it: use the report option on the comment itself, or email hello@frontendmentorsolutions.io with a link to the content and a short description. Reports are handled confidentially by the site's maintainers, and we respond as quickly as we can.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and repetition, a violation can lead to a warning, removal of the content, or suspension or closure of the account, as described in the Terms of Use.
If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, reply to the email you received. A maintainer who wasn't involved in the original decision will take a second look.
